Shred Flintstone | Trashed

Shred Flintstone’s “Trashed” is a little bit of a letdown. “Trashed” is a track that is reminiscent of the psychedelic rock revival of the 2010s. Distorted vocals compete with unrelenting cymbals, and crunchy guitar. It’s all things we have heard before done by Shred Flintstone and their comrades within the genre (Ty Segal, The Oh Sees, Jay Retard etc.). Even though there was nothing new here a potent psychedelic rock tune can still be effective. What is missing from this release is the careful balance within the production. There is no clear distinction between the instruments making for a flat end product.

I would love to hear a stripped-down version of this track without the overwhelming distortion, which I think takes away from the track as a whole. With that being said, I still feel like there’s a ton of potential for Shred Flinstone (and hey, rad freaking name)
