Chives | The Family Interviews

Meet Chives

Testing testing one two one two. The Chives have landed. Do not be afraid they are our friends. They bring good tidings and fast punk rock music. We recently had the pleasure of reviewing their album Thrones. you can read that review here. Even more recently however we had a chance to interview them. That whole thing is below these nonsense words. Check it out!

A Day at Waste Management

A MAD-LIB By Chives

It`s another day here at Waste Management, and I can`t wait to talk to all the Waters. I tell ya, sometimes these Waters can be very Browned. Ruth stops by everyone`s Pipe and collects everybody`s Scrubbing. Jenifer sits at her desk and clips Stains in her spare time. Heidi is the customer service Water. She Runs new hires how to do their Lunch. We had a meeting today about Bags. I love Mr. Brown!

Would you rather be transported permanently 500 years into the future or 500 into the past, what would

My initial thoughts are to go 500 years into the past however that seems stale, we already know the turnout. Fasting forward sounds interesting, no idea what to expect. What I’d be doing? Rocking and rolling pushing sonic limits on future space instruments, just the same!

How long have you all been making music together?

I’ve been performing / releasing music under Chives since 2014. Currently Chives is a trio, Destin Kitto (Drums) & Jacob Kelly (Bass). It’s had various formations.

What was the intention with this latest album Thrones?

These songs have evolved quite a ways to what’s on record. Really the goal was to put an album together and finally the time came to put it to tape.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be (doesn’t need to be music related)?

To have all the time in the world.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be (doesn’t need to be music related)?

The power to stop climate change... Terrified about that lately.

If the price was no option what would be the perfect bagel?

Everything bagel, vegan cream cheese, sprinkled cayenne or sliced jalapeño (or both!)

Any final comments? (This is your electronic soapbox for one last answer.)

I hope you like the record, stay positive stay focused.
