The Texas State Aquarium Review
Overall: 8/10
If you consider the Texas State Aquarium as a museum or a typical small town attraction, the price would drop the rating significantly, but it’s not a small town attraction or a museum. It really is an extremely educational small amusement park, and when you look at comparable parks, it really is a great deal. Expect to spend the day there if you’re looking to get your money’s worth because the shows are really great and you don’t want to miss them. Also, if you’re like us with kids who are absolutely in love with animals, the employees are always happy to answer any questions you or your kiddos have. If you want the best experience, I’d go in the off season (the school year from Labor Day to Memorial Day) because it’s pretty dead and you’ll get a lot more one-on-one time with the trainers and employees.
Maybe you should have gone during the school year…
Family Friendly: 10/10
This is without a doubt one of the most family friendly places we’ve ever been. They’ve got a splash park, touch and feel animal exhibits, amazing shows (that are short and funny), amazing animals, and a whole lot of learning along the way. The twins loved it. The boys loved it. Jen and I loved it. It was pretty much one of the best stops we made on our trips down to Corpus.

Well, it’s been a busy two weeks for our family. We went down to Corpus Christi, TX for a week of fun with my family and a week of reviews for the site as well. We also decided that it was time to finally getting ready for the big hikes and backpacking trips that we’ve been dreaming about doing for years now, so we have become new members of the Paleo movement. We’ve donated all of the food that we wouldn’t be eating due to our new lifestyle and are moving to a healthier and more productive lifestyle. Like I said, we’ve been busy.
